Hey all - if you live in Dunedin and like drawing or writing comics (and get paid for it) its time to get busy

There are a bunch of jobs so get some examples of your work (even photocopies) and some contact details about you to the Otago Museum by 5pm on Friday 20th January – that’s this Friday – hand deliver it if you have to – front desk

This will be a good experience and worth trying for –– the best part is your work will be available throughout New Zealand.

There’s not much time – Good Luck !! Below is the info from the Otago Museum about this project.

Designers, Illustrators and Writers
Otago Museum is running an exciting new project in 2006. Comic Science will be a three issue series of science and technology comic books. They will be available for free to teenagers throughout New Zealand.

These comic books will explore elements of teen lifestyle whilst weaving in scientific and technological themes, topics and knowledge. Stories will carry over all three issues , and a number of stand-alone panels and ‘skits’ will be contained within each issue.

We are inviting submissions of interest from designers, illustrators and writers to become part of this project (payment to be agreed).

We are seeking a graphic designer with experience in publishing and if possible, comic books. This role includes: coordination of illustration, layout, cover and logo design, adopting required changes, liaising with printer, adopting required changes and delivery of work within set timeframes.
This role will begin in February with Issue One to print in May, Issue Two to print in July and Issue Three to print in September.

Writers
